I firmly believe that for us show up as the best version of ourselves in our lives, we have to FEEL like the best version of ourselves from the inside out.
Personal experience has proved this to me over and over again. I spent a great majority of my life working to embody what it means to be in an optimal state of health and fitness. I started my health and fitness journey as a teenager; like many people, I was driven by a burning desire to have the “perfect body.” Since then, I’ve done everything in effort to achieve that goal. Trial and error has been frustrating, but it’s been the greatest of all teachers. It’s taught me that a balanced and holistic lifestyle, coupled with a commitment to a long-term goal is the best route to take to achieve an optimal state of health and happiness your body and life. Most importantly it’s taught me that health is an inside job and theres no one way for anyone to achieve their health goals, which is why most diets only result in a short-term fix and don’t last.
I’ve been a size 0 and I’ve been a size 8, and equally unhappy at both sizes. Why? because health and happiness starts from within, when we look for it externally, we set ourselves up for disappointment. To achieve the body of your dreams and unlock your optimal state of health and happiness, you start within and work your way out, you look at yourself as a whole, find what will work best for you, and change your whole lifestyle to align with that goal, not just go on diet or pop a pill.
My holistic approach to living has not only helped me to finally maintain a body I love and feel confident in, but has also trickled out into the rest of the areas of my life, inspiring me to do things I may have done in that old mindset I was stuck in for so long. Finding happiness in your body and life can be a real struggle, but it doesn’t have to be. I feel very strongly about this, everything you want really is within reach. This is why I started my blog and coaching business; to share the tools and practices that have helped me create and maintain a balanced, holistic, and healthy lifestyle and a body I love and feel confident in from the inside and out.
I do this because sharing the gift of health is my passion, it’s been my passion for as long as I can remember, and I am committed to it. Most importantly, I do this because I believe that healthier people are happier, and happier people make others happy, creating a ripple effect in the world. Working on OURSELVES is a simple action we can all take to make the world better place. I love that.
